WE LOVE CHEVIOT

History should be for everyone.

Use the Aa Accessibility control at the top of the page for larger text, higher contrast, or reduced motion. Your choice stays on your device. All features remain available without an account, and browser zoom is supported.

Explore through photographs, written stories, or audio, in whatever combination works for you.

The interface includes keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, large controls, and space for transcripts and image descriptions. Volunteers are responsible for supplying accurate alternative text and complete transcripts for uploaded media.

Walking accessibility

Map data does not reliably describe every curb, gradient, surface, or crossing. “Avoid mapped steps” is only a routing preference, not a wheelchair-accessibility certification. Read access notes, assess current conditions, and explore online instead whenever a location is unsuitable.

No part of the tour requires entering private property. Contact The Cheviot Community Foundation to report an accessibility barrier or request information in another format.

BEFORE YOU WALK

Enjoy the history.
Respect the neighbors.

Many stops are private property. Remain on public sidewalks and authorized public spaces. Do not enter yards or buildings, knock on doors, look into windows, or disturb owners or occupants.

Follow signs and pedestrian signals. Watch traffic, weather, and uneven surfaces. Pause your screen and audio while crossing streets. Supervise children and choose a walk appropriate for your abilities.

This free tour is provided “as is” and “as available.” Participation is voluntary. Maps and access may be incomplete or outdated. Read the safety guidance and terms.
